Winter Emergency Hotline
During the winter months, the Division operates a 24-hour emergency "Hot Line" for residents to report complaints regarding no heat, no hot water, or other winter related emergencies. The telephone number for this program is 609-989-3560.
Heat Requirements
Single Family & Properties with Two Units
- 68 degrees between the hours of 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- 60 degrees between the hours of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Apartment Buildings with More Than Three Units
Heat is required to be turned on as of October 1 and remain available until May 1.
- 68 degrees between the hours of 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- 65 degrees between the hours of 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
