Public Notice: Brownfields Cleanup Grant Application

The City of Trenton is applying for a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Cleanup Grant to conduct environmental cleanup at the Former New Method Cleaners/Custom Helenizing Site located at 300-310 Prospect Street.   In accordance with EPA’s community notification policies, a community meeting is being held to discuss the grant application and to solicit public comments on the application and the proposed use of funds. The meeting will be held on November 3rd at 4:00 pm at, Trenton City Hall, 319 E State St, Trenton, NJ in the Housing and Economic Development Conference Room on the third floor. Copies of the draft application, including the draft EPA-required Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives document will be available for public review and comment at City Hall upon request. Comments will be accepted during the public meeting, or in writing up until November 21, 2022.  If unable to attend, any questions or comments regarding the EPA grant application, including requests to view application drafts, should be directed to Emily Arnold at BRS, Inc. at 856-964-6456 (x8003).

La ciudad de Trenton está solicitando una subvención de la Agencia de Protección Ambiental de los Estados Unidos (EPA, por sus siglas en inglés) para llevar a cabo la limpieza ambiental en el antiguo sitio de New Method Cleaners/Custom Helenizing ubicado en 300-310 Prospect Street. De acuerdo con las políticas de notificación a la comunidad de la EPA, se está celebrando una reunión de la comunidad para discutir la solicitud de subvención y para solicitar los comentarios del público sobre la solicitud y el uso propuesto de los fondos. La reunión se celebrará el 3 de noviembre a las 16:00 horas en la Alcaldía de Trenton, 319 E State St, Trenton, NJ, en la Sala de Conferencias de Vivienda y Desarrollo Económico en el tercer piso. Copias del borrador de la solicitud, incluido el borrador del documento de análisis de alternativas de limpieza de terrenos baldíos, requerido por la EPA, estarán disponibles para su revisión y comentario público en el Alcaldía, a petición del interesado. Se aceptarán comentarios durante la reunión pública o por escrito hasta el 21 de noviembre de 2022.  Si no puede asistir, cualquier pregunta o comentario sobre la solicitud de subvención de la EPA, incluida la petición de ver los borradores de la solicitud, debe dirigirse a Emily Arnold en BRS, Inc. en el 856-964-6456 (x8003).
