Announcements

  • TPS will be operating on a 2-hour delayed opening tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 27.
  • Trash collection will resume on Tuesday.
  • Trenton Public Schools need to begin clearing school parking lots. We are asking all residents to remove their vehicles ASAP.
  • Residents can park in garages on Front Street and Lafayette and Warren for FREE until 9AM Wednesday (1/28). Residents will need to provide a TRENTON ID proving residency when exiting these garages. 
  • Parking Enforcement is SUSPENDED in the City of Trenton through the close of business Friday, January 30 except for the following regulations: 1) Fire Hydrants, 2) Handicap spaces, and 3) Parking on sidewalks and/or blocking driveways. These regulations will continue to be enforced. Street sweeping is suspended until further notice
  • We are asking residents,contractors, and business owners to not throw snow back into the street. Our crews are working very hard to clear City streets. 
  • Commercial Vehicle Travel Restrictions Lifted on all Interstate highways as of 9 a.m. today, Monday, January 26 35 mph speed limits remain in effect on Interstate and State highways.
  • Mercer County government offices are closed today, Monday, January 26, due to the ongoing winter storm. Mercer County Park facilities and Library System are also closed today
  • City of Trenton municipal offices will be closed on Monday, January 26 due to inclement weather. Essential personnel are required to report to work. Municipal offices will reopen Tuesday, January 27th.
  • U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Clerk’s office front counter is closed on Monday, January 26.
  • All State offices will be closed on Monday, January 26.
  • All Trenton Public Schools and offices will be closed Monday, January 26. 
  • Recreation Centers are closed through Monday, January 26.
  • Senior centers will be closed on Monday, January 26
  • There will be no trash collection on Monday, January 26
  • Governor Mikie Sherrill declared that New Jersey will enter a State of Emergency effective at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
  • The National Weather Service at Mount Holly has issued a Winter Weather Warning for our area. We are expecting between 10 & 15 inches of snow and ice accumulations around one tenth of an inch.

  • Public Works crews have applied liquid brine and salt on City streets.
  • Parking is available at public school parking lots for the duration of the storm.
  • Residents that live along marked emergency routes are being asked to move their vehicles once the road becomes snow covered. Vehicles not moved in a timely fashion will be towed at the owners expense.
  • Families in need of shelter can call NJ 2-1-1 by dialing 211 or texting their ZIP code to 898-211
