City of Trenton Versus State Vital Statistics Office
There are two vital statistics offices in the City of Trenton. To avoid delays, please make sure you choose the correct one before mailing your request or visiting our office.

City of Trenton, Mercer County Office of Vital Statistics
This office holds records for births, marriages, civil unions and domestic partnerships and deaths that occurred in the City of Trenton only. In addition, this office issues dog licenses pursuant to Section 21-1 of the City of Trenton Code.
Receiving Records on the Same Day
To receive the records the same day, please visit us at our City Hall Office. You will receive a certified copy with the raised seal of the city of Trenton at that time.
Fees
Personal checks are not accepted.

Social Security cards are not issued from this office. You can contact the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213.
