Numerous Events Celebrating Local Businesses To Be Held in the Capital City on Saturday, April 1st
Trenton N.J. – The City of Trenton is highlighting numerous events supporting local businesses taking place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, beginning at 10 a.m., which are being hosted by the City’s Division of Economic Development and the Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture.
Mayor Reed Gusciora stated, “Our local businesses are so critical: They create jobs, they provide amazing goods and services, and they are so culturally rich. Shop Trenton Saturdays highlight culture in Trenton. I encourage those within and outside of Trenton to come downtown for a great day of food, music, and art.”
The following events give a taste of the events scheduled for the first Shop Trenton Saturday:
- The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market, highlighting more than 450 arts and small businesses, will take place at Cure Arena, located at 81 Hamilton Ave, at 10 a.m.
- Trenton Orbit will be having lunch at 1911 Smoke House Barbeque at 12 PM; at the same time, Will Yesterday will be performing music at 12PM at The Big Easy, located at 111 S. Warren Street.
- In the afternoon, you can listen to jazz music with Radam Schwartz at 3PM at the Candelight Lounge, which is located at 24 Passaic Street.

Free parking can be found at the Liberty Commons Garage, which is located at 16 E. Front Street from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
South Ward Councilwoman Jenna Figueroa Kettenburg added, “I and the rest of the City Council are always happy to encourage our fellow Trentonians to shop local. Continuing to support our local businesses will help the City and community thrive.”
