TRENTON -- Last night at 1:54 am, Trenton Police responded to a Shot Spotter activation of eight (8) rounds of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found a 32-year-old male on Perry St had been shot and was pronounced dead at 2:11 am. The investigation is being conducted by the Mercer County Prosecutors Office Homicide Task Force.
"Gun violence has cost the City another other life. I hope this man's family finds peace in time," Mayor W. Reed Gusciora said. "Police cannot do it alone and we need the public’s assistance in addressing gun violence; both in solving and preventing such crimes. It starts with ourselves. We need to change the mindset of indifference from people resolving their conflicts with guns. We shouldn’t wait to be sitting in church pews at a funeral for a family member before we speak up in our community, to our neighbors, to our kids about putting down these destructive weapons.”
