PUBLIC COMMENTS REQUESTED:
As recommended by the Trenton250 master plan – to develop a prioritized strategic approach to building in and around our train station areas to increase economic activity. The Trenton’s Transit Oriented Development Strategic Plan (TOD Plan) was drafted with community and stakeholders input over the past two years in order to satisfy Trenton250’s recommendation and build momentum for development around our three train station areas – Trenton Transit Center, Hamilton Avenue Light Rail Station, and the Cass Street Light Rail Station.
This TOD plan is intended to prioritize actions for which the City and partnerships can implement to assist in the development and redevelopment of our train station areas in a strategic way. A desired outcome of the TOD Plan will be encouraged investments in and around the stations by providing a vision backed by supported incentives, policies, and regulations. The conceptual development plans included as well as the proposed zoning guidance will set the stage for the City to obtain Transit Village designation that will afford the City various incentives and prioritizations by the State of New Jersey.
Please review and provide your comments by August 30th. Thanks.
