Now that the city has finalized a budget for FY2020, taxpayers should start receiving their May 2020 tax bills starting next week, July 13, 2020. The due date for the 2020 2Q taxes has been set to August 14, 2020.
Although City Hall is still closed to the public taxpayers can make online payments by visiting www.trentonnj.org/taxpayments. Once taxpayers receive their bills, payments with the appropriate stub can also be mailed to the Tax Collector’s mail box at PO Box 210, Trenton, N.J. 08602 or left in the drop-box located at the security desk by the rear entrance to City Hall. All payments left in the drop-box will have a receipt sent via mail.
For taxpayers who already made estimated payments based on their February 2020 bill, those payments should be reflected on the May 2020 tax bill. Also, as a result of the delay with the May 2020 bill, the August 2020 bill due date will likely be pushed into early September.
As new information becomes available it will be posted in the News & Announcement section of the City of Trenton website.
