Beginning June 27, 2022, the City of Trenton will accept proposals for the following federally funded Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) Homeless programs: Street Outreach, Emergency Shelter Operations, Homelessness Prevention and HMIS. If you are interested in submitting a proposal for consideration, you must apply via ZoomGrants https://www.zoomgrants.com/zgf/City_of_Trenton/2022_ESG . Proposals must address the needs of homeless individuals and families in the City of Trenton. The application must be submitted with all required materials by 11:59 PM on July 17, 2022. NOTICE OF PUBLIC DISPLAY AND PUBLIC HEARING
FY 2022 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
CITY OF TRENTON, NEW JERSEY
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with the Federal regulations at 24 CFR, Part 91 and the City of Trenton’s Citizen Participation Plan, the City of Trenton has prepared a new Annual Action Plan for FY 2022 for the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).
The FY 2022 Annual Plan covers program period from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. The City will receive a grant of $2,880,285 in CDBG funds; $1,030,569 in HOME funds and $260,236 in ESG funds for FY 2022. The City intends to submit the application to HUD by July 15, 2022.
The City of Trenton will hold a public hearing on June 15, 2022 at 5:30pm. The public hearing will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams due to the ongoing prohibitions on public gatherings. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit citizen comments on the FY2022 Annual Action Plan currently on display. The FY 2022 Annual Action Plan identifies the activities that will be undertaken to address priority needs and local objectives during the program year.

The FY 2022 Annual Action Plan is available for public inspection and review in the Department of Recreation, Natural Resources and Culture and on-line at www.trentonnj.org/fedpublicnotices from June 1, 2022 to July 1, 2022. EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT PROGRAM (ESG)
Notice is hereby given that the City of Trenton, NJ (City) is currently preparing its FY 2022 Consolidated Annual Action Plan. The City will receive FY 2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and will conduct a public hearing to obtain input on how these funds can address needs within the City in FY 2022.
The purpose of this public hearings is to: (1) Obtain the views and comments of individuals and organizations concerning the City’s housing and community development needs. The information gathered will be used in the preparation of the Consolidated Annual Action Plan submission for the FY 2022 Program Year. (2) Review the City’s Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Programs, and Emergency Solutions Grant Program and provide an opportunity for the public to comment on program performance. (3) Summarize the Annual Action Plan process and obtain the views of citizens, public agencies, and others interested in the housing and community development needs of the City.
In accordance with the Final Rule for consolidation of the CDBG, HOME, and ESG Programs, 24 CFR Part 91, et. al., the City will prepare an Annual Action Plan, which will be submitted to HUD on the earlier of July 15, 2022 or 60 days from the formal notification by HUD of the City’s annual FY 2022 funding allocations under these programs.
In accordance with the City’s Citizen Participation Plan, the City will hold a community development and housing needs hearing on May 18, 2022, at 5:30 PM. Due to the on-going COVID 19 pandemic, this meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The City will also accept needs input from the public via email at gadouglas@trentonnj.org or in writing to the City of Trenton, 319 E. The City expects to publish a summary of its proposed Annual Action Plan for FY 2022 on or before June 1, 2022 and a copy of the document will be placed on public display for a thirty (30) day review period from June 1st to July 1, 2022. A second public hearing will be duly advertised and conducted to present the proposed plan to the public. The City will consider comments on the proposed plan prior to adoption by the Trenton City Council and submission to HUD. Proper notice of the display date and subsequent public hearing will be properly advertised.
